Upcoming Volunteer
The concept of this Starfish event is called Little Helping Hands Sharing the Love, because we hope to teach children at the young age the importance of sharing blessings with each other. With this Starfish event, we hope that the children can experience the spirit of giving and contributing through fund-raising, hand-making and gift-giving.
Each event, we hope that the children would participate throughout the process and see each part of the work through. All of the proceeds from fundraising and cookie-making cost will go into purchasing Christmas gifts, food, basic supplies and meal coupons for the kids in need. Children will be awarded a certificate with completion of any event.
Cookie Baking Day - Learn how to hand-make festive cookies and gift them as part of a Christmas gift to those who are in need. Cookie-making cost also include purchasing other Christmas gifts such as food, basic supplies and meal coupons for the children in need.
Cookie Sellling Day - Another event is Cookie Sale Day. Children get to help other children in need through fund-raising by selling professionally pre-made cookies. This event is separate from the Cookie-Baking-Day event. But again, all the proceeds will go into purchasing Christmas gifts for the children in need.
